Ok, so growing up I was absolutely in love with boybands! Like most preteen and teenage girls, my walls were covered with the likes of Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, 98 Degrees, etc. I swooned at the sound of two or more grown men singing into their headset microphones. I think I've seen the Backstreet Boys three times... but I do admit that once was actually last year! Yes, I am still a sucker.
And now, with the Jonas Brothers, One Direction, Big Time Rush, etc it seems as if boy bands are starting to make their comeback. Which makes the little thirteen year old inside of me absolutely nuts! What can I say, I will always love the boybands. When I'm eighty, I'll probably still be reminiscing by listening to the music of my teen's on my generation 25 iPod - or maybe it's a microchip implanted in our ears? How awesome would that be!
So by being a fully dedicated listener to this type of music, I realize that these bands have taught me a few things. Such as:

So by being a fully dedicated listener to this type of music, I realize that these bands have taught me a few things. Such as:
1. I can be as dirty as my little heart desires, as long as I’m cute.
I was nine years old when Get Down by B44 came out. NINE!! I had the song on my little Discman, listening to it on repeat, constantly singing it whenever it was stuck in my head. My parents probably had my bags packed and ready to go, to take me to my new all girls boarding school deep in the woods of Montana. Their little girl singing “If you get down on me, I’ll get down on you tonight.” There would be none of that!
2. I am beautiful in many different ways.
Apparently I “Don’t need make-up to cover up, being the way that you are is enough.” Ha. Ha. That’s quite funny One Direction. I didn’t know resembling a twelve year old boy who has some features that resemble a pig without make-up would attract you. Although we have always been taught that natural beauty is the best form of beautiful - I'm not so sure I would agree personally. We don't need to dip ourselves in coverup, so we don't resemble ourselves - but lets just say I can't really compete with Selena Gomez, without a little bit of extra help! I would like to see your reaction to my face without make-up, you gorgeous little things you.
3. I need crazy colored hair to get noticed by a decent looking guy.
“She’s got a lip ring and five colors in her hair.” Uh yeah. I am a huge fan of different colours in hair! And I do have more then one, currently. To get one step closer to Tom Fletcher and McFly, I would dye my hair any color for you baby.
4. If a better opportunity arises, screw your friends and take it!
Apparently, according to Justin Timberlake, and many other guys from boy bands, it is perfectly ok to leave your entire band to do a solo project. And it’s not just the guys… I’m looking at you Fergi!
5. There are still nice guys left out in the world.
One of my all time favourite song from a boy band, is I Need You by Westlife. It gives us single girls out there hope, for a decent guy to come our way! I personally, wont settle for anything less then someone who swears they'll always be there, anytime I want him to! So hold out for someone great, ladies!
